New Album Moya Brennan February 2017

More than 10 years after the release of her latest solo-album "Signature" Moya Brennan has planned a brand new album for release in February 2017. The album titled "River Of Songs" will be a co-production of the Jarvis/Brennan family, with Moya, Tim, Paul writing and Aisling writing and also engineering and mixing the album. As Moya says: "I'm hoping that you will enjoy the old Moya sound coming together with the new modern styles of my kids, while still keeping the Celtic vibe that I know you all love so well." With the release of the new album, Moya will be touring throughout Europe early next year.

Concert Moya Brennan Switzerland 2017

Moya Brennan has planned a concert in Zurich Switzerland on monday 13th February 2017 at 8PM in the venue called "Kaufleuten". Tickets are already available at the venue website and at

The concert is part of the Moya Brennan "River Of Songs" tour in February 2017, that brings her to Switzerland, Germany and the Netherlands, 13 concerts so far.

Moya Brennan Special Guest In New Excalibur Tour

Moya Brennan will be special guest in the new Excalibur Tour, starting 1st until 16th December 2016, with shows in Germany and Switzerland. Excalibur is a Celtic Rock Opera, written and composed by Alan Simon. Other artists are John Helliwell (Supertramp) and Maggie Reilly. Earlier, in 2011, Moya also played in the show. Tickets are already on sale on the Eventim website.

Moya Brennan Concert In Dunlewey

Moya Brennan, accompanied by daughter Aisling, son Paul, and husband Tim Jarvis, will perform at Ionad Cois Locha Dunluiche on Tuesday, August 23. The concert, organised as part of the Tionscnamh Lugh Trad Trathnona series, also features Special Guest Meghan Nic Ruairí. Doors open at 8pm, admission €8.

Clannad Co-Founder Padraig Duggan Has Died (Update 2)

Pádraig Duggan, musician, songwriter and co-founder of folk music legends Clannad, has died in Dublin at the age of 67. He passed away in Blanchardstown Hospital following a recurring illness and is survived by his wife Jan.

Pádraig along with his twin brother, Noel, were the youngest of six children of Aodh (Hugh) and Máire Duggan. They grew up in the Gaoth Dobhair Gaeltacht in Donegal and, after early musical proficiency, joined their niece and nephews, the Brennans, to form Clannad in the early 1970s.

Pádraig and Noel Duggan released a collaborative album, Rubicon, in 2005. Next to playing in Clannad, Padraig also was member of Norland Wind.

Moya Brennan Concerts Germany 2017 (Update)

Moya Brennan will tour Germany in February 2017. For the moment, eight concerts are planned. In between the German leg of the tour Moya will do three concerts in the Netherlands.
For the German concerts, tickets are already or will soon become available at the Eventim website and on Ticketmaster.

US Concerts Moya Brennan & Cormac De Barra (Update)

On August 17th 2016 Moya Brennan and Cormac De Barra will be performing at the Fifth Provence Salon in Chicago US. The concert starts at 8PM. Tickets ($20) are available at the website of the Irish American Heritage Center. Stay tuned for more.
Update: Moya Brennan and Cormac De Barra will also play at the Milwaukee Irish Fest in the Henry W. Maier Festival Park Milwaukee. During the festival weekend, from 19 - 21 August 2016 they'll perform several times. Look at the Irish Fest website for the schedule.

Enya And Clannad Dad Leo Brennan Has Died (Update)

At the age of 90, Leo Brennan, musician, entertainer, publican and father of the world famous family that includes Enya and members of Clannad, has died this morning. 

He passed away at his home in Gaoth Dobhair, Donegal, surrounded by his family including his well known daughters Enya and Moya Brennan. 

On behalf of the Clannad Newsblog i send my sincere condolences for the passing of Leo and wish the Brennan family all strength in these sad days.

Moya Brennan Concerts Netherlands 2017

Moya Brennan will be doing three concerts in the Netherlands in february 2017. 
The dates and venues are:

- 23 February - Hengelo Metropool 
- 24 February - Vlissingen CCXL Theatre 

Ticket sale starts tomorrow, 20 May, at the theatres.

New Single Roger Shah & Moya Brennan Out Soon

From time to time, Moya Brennan can be heared on backing vocals on songs by various dj's. One of them is the German composer and producer Roger Shah. In 2011 they teamed up on the song "Morning Star". On May 30th, a new song is set to be released on Magic Island, called "Reasons To Live" (Listen to the Uplifting Club Mix), with Moya Brennan on backing vocals again.
